Choose your Domain Name:
A Domain Name is your address on the internet! For example, www.companyname.com

Choose a Web Host: a Web Host stores your web site onto their servers and transfers it to the internet so that everyone can visit and view your web site.

Q. What is the process of creating a website?

Phase 1 - Information Gathering:
In this first phase we gather information on the goals and purpose of your business. We develop your target audience, and the content that your target audience is looking for on your website.

Phase 2 - Planning: 
After the first phase we design a plan for your website, and develop a site map.  We also help you decide what other programming languages (see programming languages question), that needs to be developed for your website, such as newsletters, contact forms, javascript, etc.

Phase 3 - Design & Development:
At this stage we start to design the look and feel of your website. We create the coding and develop the website. You will receive prototypes of your website either in an image format or rough web page designs. From those designs A.R.N. Designs will make the requested adjustments for each page. 

Phase 4 - Testing & Delivery:
Once the website nears completion, we test the performance of your website across multiple browsers and devices. We also optimize your website for faster loading on all devices. Once the testing phase is complete, we transfer all your website files to your hosting provider, which means that your website is live!

Phase 5: Maintenance:
After your website is complete, you may need to update information on your website to bring in new customers. A.R.N, Designs will be more than happy to continue working with you to update or add any new content. We offer a maintenance service package option to all our service plans. Q. What kind of content do you need to design a website?

Content in a website includes: 
Graphics: images such as logos, your business logo, photos that you have taken, stock images, etc.
Text: information about your business, lists, reviews, anything that you want your customers to learn about of your company. 
Video: video clips about your business or services that you specialize in.

Databases
A collection of data similar to an excel spreadsheet, that is used by MYSQL and other programs to store information like names, emails, passwords, etc. Databases allow you to save information about your users and is used with PHP to store information from newsletters, contact forms, etc.

Q. What is the process like with working with A.R.N. Design?

A.R.N. Designs follows a process called milestones. Milestones vary from project to project. Large projects require more milestones while smaller projects may only require a handful. The standard milestones we follow are a three to four phase process based on the project size..

We learn about our clients and their goals. And develop a project evaluation for the design and development.
Documents are sent out with information on our project management system, payment procedure, and other crucial information important for the client.
During this process a contract is created between the client and the designer stating the agreed upon terms.

During this phase the designs for your website begins. We give you mock-ups of the home page and a single sub page to determine the design direction that you are looking for.
After feedback has been adjusted, the coding and testing of the website begins.

During the final stage we review with you the final prototype and make adjustments to any changes
that you want made.
We review all the coding and improve and ensure that it matches with the design the client wants.
All coding is tested for errors and fixed, and the appropriate files needed to work in sync with the designs are made.
We also optimize, and test for browser compatibility. 
We ensure that all responsive devices are made compatible with the main design. 
After the design is complete, all files will be uploaded and backed up, and your website will be live!

A post-launch review will be completed to see if there are errors or problems that need to be fixed.

Site maintenance is an optional service that allows A.R.N. Designs to update your website with new content that you provide.
